Body and interior in good shape. Won’t start, though. This might tickle the interest of someone here.

I want to do one with a B8444S (the weird 60 degree Volvo V8 that was totally not a Taurus SHO engine).

I wanted a V8 S80 a few years ago. Thankfully, my financial situation prevented that.

As far as I’ve read, there are 2 main issues. On early engines the balance shaft bearings would go bad and long story short you’d need an engine rebuild. Also the transmissions were made of glass - I read somewhere that they were actually rated for 1 ft-lb of torque LESS than the engine makes, and Yamaha Ford Volvo had to detune the engine in any case so it didn’t completely grenade transmissions left and right.

I’d get a later engine, and back it up with a close ratio T-56.

*turntable scratching* 2JZ

Kidding, but t he cost to fix the issues is exactly the same cost of megasquirting it. Although I had a 242DL in the day, the CIS fuel injection was miserable once it turned on you. I don’t know how a fuel distributor craps out but mine did and it ran like crap below 4k, but 4-6k was a raped ape. Then it was never right again. Anyway, Had I a carb, it would have mended all problems. So, this thing is perfect and the dream car we all want.

It could be this with just some love.
